About Me

/ Professional

I’ve been in UX/UI design for eight years, and in visual design for a total of twelve. I’ve been consistently dubbed a “unicorn” by managers and peers – combining strong visual design, research and data analytics, systems thinking, stakeholder management skills and HTML/CSS knowledge in one package. I've got a history of success in both contributor and managerial roles, with proven ability to thrive in both a green field and a very tightly defined space. I pride myself on attention to detail, rapid delivery and proactive problem-solving. In my career, I've had the privilege of leading design teams, scaling product organizations, building ground-up design systems and contributing hundreds of high-impact deliverables for B2B and B2C across government, nonprofit, education, cybersecurity and business operating systems.

/ Personal

I'm a lifelong creative with a passion for learning new mediums. I can’t seem to find a hobby to stick to – whenever I feel like I’m relatively decent in something, it’s on to the next one. My current interests include home improvement (plumbing being my latest “passion”), training for a marathon, weight lifting on a budget, waxing nostalgic about grunge and nu metal, and homebrew mead. My wife and I also enjoy traveling, gardening, and fostering dogs (with three furbabies of our own). I’m a wannabe musician and composer, and have a storied history of developing PC games that I don’t finish.

SAUL, a top-down arcade swarm shooter.

MythHunter, a side-scrolling RPG.

Strannik, a side-scrolling shooter / RPG.
